The page is about the colours of the flowers and the photos are when we had bought a few flowers as a tester to put together some bouquets as a try out. Here they are all still wrapped in their cellophane before we spread them out on the floor and played about with some arrangements. As you can see I have not yet journalled on the tag, so I am going to have to do that. Hope you are all having a good week. My day off tomorrow1! yippee, lots of painting hopefully!

Wedding Scrapbook
On Sunday my lovely sister came over and we did a couple of hours scrapbooking. She was making a scrapbook for her friend and I was doing another page for my very slow developing wedding scrapbook. I have come to the conclusion that scrapbooking is definitely better with someone else. We chatted and had a laugh and reminisced, it was lovely. One thing that I found quite amusing was that in the two hours of scrapbooking, I completed one, yes one painful, excruciating, page of my wedding scrapbook, and my sister did 20 layouts!! She certainly didn't fret over every tiny scrap of paper or embellishment. Anyway, I was pleased with my 2 hours work, here is the result:

New scrapbooking pages
I think I might be getting the hang of this now, I just need to not go crazy in Hobby Craft because I can't afford it!
Two pages about organising the flowers for our wedding, still have lots of flower pages to go and have ordered a load of embelishments from K and Company from a range called Poppy seeds, so just waiting for these before I really get stuck in. Am I doing it right?

New stash
What a great day! After much effort, stress and anxiety I pulled off a pretty amazing lesson for my observation (even if I do say so myself!). My class were brilliant, really well behaved and seemed to say all the right things to the headmaster who was observing me. I was really chuffed when I received my feedback which was "Good" (the scale being unsatisfactory, satisfactory, good, outstanding) I only got satisfactory last time I was very happy after.
Then to top the day off, I got home from work to find my monthly subscription scrap booking kit from Sarah's cards ltd had arrived, wasn't expecting it till tomorrow, so spent a good half hour opening everything, examining it, laying it out and putting it all back into it's bags! (I know...how sad!)
I can't wait to order some photos and get crafting with them.
Take a look at the stash:

I know, I got a bit carried away with the photo taking!

Three more scrapbook pages and learning to crochet
What a wonderfully blustery, wild and windy day complete with leaves dancing around in the wind, torrents of dramatic rainfall and rainbows!
I definitely needed stirring up today because I am getting bogged down and starting to feel the pressure from school because my lesson tomorrow with year 10 is being observed by the head master *eek*. I have to get at least "good" for the lesson in order to avoid another observation. I only got satisfactory last time so the pressure is really on. Wish me luck!
To take my mind off things I thought I would share some things with you, firstly a few more pages from my wedding scrapbook. I will finish it eventually (yes I did get married over a year ago!) but I am pretty new to scrapbooking so I am agonising over every page. These three are about our visit to the venue that we chose:

In other news I am learning to crochet!! It seems as I get older I find it more and more difficult to learn new things so it is taking an absolute age. Luckily I have had lovely teacher from work teaching me, and went round to her house last week for a little lesson, and she showed me a few basic stitches. Unfortunately due to lack of time I have not done very much, but it is a start at least. What I really want is to be able to crochet actual things as opposed to just squares or tubes! I am trying for flowers so I can make little brooches.
Gosh , it was so dark when I took these photos the depth of field is tiny! I am amazed I didn't need a tripod:
I have been feeling a bit peculiar recently, a little bit lost and feeling sorry for myself. We had a staff training session at school about helping pupils to cope with anxiety and I though "who is there to help the teachers with their anxiety?". It also got me thinking about when I was at school and about how much time I spent absolutely terrified of doing the wrong thing. I am not entirely sure what I thought would happen if I did the wrong thing but I was extremely anxious about it. I feel like the little child that is still in me needs a cuddle for the stress she went through as a girl, I feel like I need to nurture myself, take more care of my soul, guard my heart a little more. I am sick of other people dictating to me what should be important in my life. I mean I like my job and everything, but I like me more. I think I need to make some art about this....

Mini scrap book
Hi Bloggers,
Hope everyone is good today, it's rather grey weather in Reading but have had a great weekend. Went bargain hunting in charity shops in Headington in Oxford on Saturday with my lovely husband and got loads of great stuff for crafting and scrapbooking including 5 vintage music sheets, two doilies and a set of lace trim vintage linen. Very pleased. Today we just did a few bits a pieces and I made up this mini scrap book that I have had waiting for a while now. It was great fun to do and I am pleased with the results, unfortunately I am yet to master the art of taking a good photograph of my stuff so the images are not great. Any tips on photographing these sorts of things would be very welcome.

Wedding scrap book
Gosh two posts in one day!!
I got married in July 2009, it was the happiest day of my life so far. I had been with my husband for 9 years and was desperate to get married, it was something I really really wanted and so recorded absolutely everything in a scrap book. I was pretty new to scrap booking when I started it so its not the best, but I have decided to put some pictures up here on the recommendation of http://scrapsthecityandme.typepad.com/ (I am so inspired by her scrap book pages, they are amazing). I hope you like them, I am still working on it (6 months on!)
Oops you can see some of the contents of my coffee table in these ones!

Snow days
Has three blissful days off work because of the snow, its been wonderful, just relaxing, journaling, going on the dance mat and generally having a happy time. Imagine our surprise when we saw this outside our bedroom window:
Here are a couple of pics from my new journal:

It's inspired by the work of Kelly Rae Roberts in her book which I recently purchased (tried to add link but no luck).
I am really enjoying the journaling but still finding it hard to get motivated, watching TV is still the easiest thing to do. Also recently been inspired by some lovely scrapbooking on other people's blogs which has made me what to improve on and finish my wedding scrapbook. May add some pictures if I can get it half decent!
Having my husband at home has been lovely though, its been nice just sitting with him while he is working and I am googling or looking at face book or whatever and chatting with him.
No plans for the weekend, just relaxing, I have bought some new seeds, and some of them can be planted now so may thinking about doing that if I can plant them in trays (ground is still frozen so no hope of planting them out!)
