foraging finds
Found these beauties whilst on a stroll yesterday, I was so excited and surprised, they are called Puffball mushrooms and totally safe to eat so we had them fried with butter, garlic and bacon in a toasted sandwich, delish! (And we didn't die....bonus!)

Gorgeous photos
Take a look at this gorgeous girl I photographed recently. She was so beautiful and I am so incredibly pleased with the photos. When I take photos like this it makes me feel good because I think, oh, maybe I am good at taking photos, I sort of surprise myself.
If you like them you could join my facebook page or take a look at my website.

Do you like the little montage I did at the end?
I am thinking of doing some kind of photography tutorial at some point in the near future, what do you think?
Ooh, I also created a new blog just for Helen Jackson Photography, it has the same photos I post here but focusing just on the photography, here it is.

Caravans
My husband Paul and I were having a conversation in the car when we were on our way to our holiday in Cornwall. We were observing the number of ugly caravans that people own and how they all have the most inappropriate names. We decided that there were basically three styles of caravan names out there, firstly those that make the caravan seem grand, second, those that make the caravan seem fast and third, those that make the caravan seem adventurous. Take the following for example:
THE SWIFT CHARISMA 220
I then lamented that there are no nice looking caravans out there and that I should design one myself, but then I found these beauties on weheartit:
Gorgeous or what? Now I really want a caravan. I would like one on my allotment instead of a shed.
THE SWIFT CHARISMA 220
Personally I don't find this caravan to have much charisma, nor do I imagine it to be swift!
Or how about:
THE CRUSADER STORM
Hmmm not sure this model could withstand a shower let alone a storm.
So we decided to come up with our own names for caravans, check these out:
The Home from Home,
The Cosy 200,
The Comfy Slipper,
The Take It Easy,
Do you think they would catch on?
Gorgeous or what? Now I really want a caravan. I would like one on my allotment instead of a shed.

Hen party fun!
This weekend was the second part of my wonderful friend Sarah's Hen Party (she is getting married in two weeks!! Can't wait!) The first part of her hen do was in Cornwall and part two was in Birmingham where she, her sisters and I and my sisters all grew up together. On the friday night we watched films and had a sleepover (Dirty Dancing and Pretty Woman!) Then during the day on the Saturday we visited an old haunt, a manor house with an amazing adventure playgroud that we used to visit in the holidays when we were younger, it was so much fun going on all the equipment, playing tag in the maze, playing toilet paper bride (see below!) and had a lovely picnic with the mums. In the evening we went into Birmingham for a good ol knees up, and we certainly did that! A really amazing amd memorable weekend with some wonderful women who will be my friends forever.

Cool Etsy Gadget
So glad I read my email from Etsy this morning because they told me about a really cool new widget they have, it's called a pocket shop and allows you to set a little mini Etsy shop at the side of your blog or website. I have just done one and you can see it to the right of the screen just after my welcome message. I think it's so sweet. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Father-in-law's 60th
So a couple of weeks ago it was my father-in-law's 60's gathering of people in one place with food and drink (aka, a party, but don't tell him we are calling it that!)
So anyway, it was really fun and we had a great time putting up with gazaebo, getting all the food out, socialising with all the lovely guests and drinking the delicious wine. Here are some photos of the event:

How amazing are the photos with the hot air balloons? I had so many wonderful photos of these it was hard to choose the best!
Just a little reminder about my giveaway, call back to soon to check if it is on!
Helen Jackson Photography up and running
Good afternoon everyone,
I am very proud to tell you that I have finally set a website for my freelance photography business, it is pretty basic at the moment but gives enough detail to get me going, I would love it if you took a look:
http://www.helenjackson.org/
I have so many posts waiting to be posted it's untrue, just not enough time, plus trying to restrict myself to one post per day because I worry people will miss the really good posts if I do too many!!
Don't forget to call back really soon, I will be doing a really lovely giveaway when I either get to 100 posts or 50 followers, whichever comes first. It will be the start of the launch of a new line I am doing in my Etsy shop, so it is very exciting for me.
