Mori Girl to Miscellaneous

Watched "Hotter Than My Daughter" on BBC 3 this evening, where a mother and daughter get new looks which are supposedly more for their age, and guess what?  there was a real life Mori girl on the show!
Perhaps my blog post title is a bit harsh, I mean her makeover wasn't totally hideous and I am rather biased, but I felt a bit sad that the girl was forced to "ditch her forest girl look" if favor of something more traditionally fashionable:

To be honest, she didn't seem to like her new look all that much:

Hope you have all had a good start to the week.

  2. Eww! Poor girl! She should ditch those awful *new look* clothing and stay as she wanted to be. It is better to wear what you want and NOT what other people wants you to wear.

  3. I'm late to the party, I know, but just look at her face. She's so ashamed of what they dressed her in.

Poor thing. Frills suit her; she should tell her mother to mind her own business and wear what she wants.

  4. As a mori girl, this makes me sad. I could dress fashionably if I wanted to, the fact is I don't.

Shame on them for making her change just to appeal to how society thinks she should dress.

  5. Just to put everyone at ease, she went back to the Mori Girl look, and is a famous Mori Girl blogger. She goes by Shani Deer :)
